Missionary Trip to El Salvador
Train Them 2 Fish U.K. in collaboration with friends on a humanitarian mission to El Salvador, Central America.
From the United States, Jamaica, and Peru, approximately 35 volunteers embarked on a journey from July 18th to August 1st, 2025, to this picturesque nation. The diverse group included medical professionals such as dentists, dental hygienists, general practitioners, nurses, teachers, and young students. The oldest volunteer was in her 80s, while the youngest was approximately 10 years old.
Upon their arrival, the Missionary volunteers were warmly welcomed by a team from the Asociación Paracentral Salvadoreña. This organisation consisted of approximately 20 internal volunteers who collaborated seamlessly with the international team, supporting both medical and evangelical initiatives aimed at serving the community.
The Missionary volunteers provided comprehensive medical and dental care, distributed glasses, offered free massages and natural remedies treatments at ten designated medical sites strategically located within the churches surrounding the conference venue.
Within a two-week period, the volunteers attended approximately 1150 medical consultations, including adults and children.
The evangelical work was conducted at approximately 13 churches across the conference. The nightly sessions focused on the “Revelation Seminar.” Guided by the Holy Spirit and supported by the volunteers, approximately 155 individuals were baptised.
Other notable highlights of the trip included Dr. Bernard Lendor delivering informative lectures on natural remedies and lifestyle medicine. Additionally, Aliyah Henry Edwards, a 16-year-old female student who had recently completed her GCSE and high school, shared her aspirations of becoming a medical doctor. During the trip, Aliyah gained valuable exposure and experience working alongside the medical team.
During our stay in El Salvador, we also dedicated some time to exploring the country’s rich history and natural beauty. We visited several volcanoes, including the iconic El Salvador Volcano National Park, and took a dip in the pristine waters of La playa. Additionally, we had the privilege of visiting the presidential palace and other historical monuments that offer valuable insights into the country’s past.
A highlight of our trip was savouring the delectable local cuisine, particularly the famous pupusa.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the divine for the opportunities we have been granted to serve in El Salvador. We are particularly indebted to the dedicated volunteers from the United States, Jamaica, Peru, and our local church members at Woodford Green SDA Church and other SDA churches who have generously sacrificed their time to support our missionary endeavours.
As we eagerly anticipate the imminent return of Christ, let us continue to support one another in spreading the Gospel and the health message throughout the world.
